Amy Layne Litzelman

amy-layne-litzelmanHey there!

I’m so glad our paths have crossed. I’ll give you a little background and then I’d love to hear from you.

I grew up in rural Montana with mom, dad, a sister, three brothers, and many visiting cousins. My favorite memories include building forts, helping dad in the pig barns, and mom painting our front door red — something I still do.

After discovering an interest in writing, I earned a BA in Journalism from the University of Wyoming. As a sports writer for the college paper, I interviewed the captain of the rugby team — my future husband and hunting partner, Matt.

After graduation we married and moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where we’ve built two homes, raised and home-schooled two sons, and grown to love a community of friends and neighbors. Common pastimes include hiking, hunting, floating the river, gardening, camping, reading, enjoying a cup of tea with friends, cooking, road-trips, and writing.

I’m grateful to have traveled to teach and lead worship in churches, conference centers, recovery ranches, campgrounds, restaurants, homes, and barns across the western United States and in the Philippines and China. I’ve written several books and many songs along the way.

  • My all-time favorite thing to do: lean into God’s presence and hear His voice.
  • My second favorite: watch Him bring heaven to earth — around us, in us, and through us.

I believe every moment, every circumstance, is a platform to know God more intimately. His wisdom, His touch, His voice, His character, His power… Our Creator wants to be known. Every season holds value and I’m especially excited to help you find joy, purpose, and passion for the empty-nest years. Psalm 92:13-15 promises if you are planted in God’s courts, this special season will find you flourishing and fruitful!

Now it’s your turn.
Send me a note on my Contact page and tell me about yourself.
Thanks!
~Amy~
